IGGM Provides a Universal Configuration Guide for Aion 2 Daevanion Boards | Making Choices Based on Node Types

To develop a fully realized character and an effective build in Aion 2, Daevanion Boards are indispensable; beyond skills and gear, they represent one of the most efficient ways to boost your character’s combat power.

While the specific node configurations may vary depending on your chosen class, certain guidelines for setting up Daevanion Boards apply to all Aion 2 players.

Based on Aion 2’s combat mechanics and the nature of Daevanion Board system, IGGM has summarized these guidelines below to help you lay a solid foundation for creating a Daevanion Board and build that best suits your playstyle.

Overview of Daevanion Board mechanics

Aion 2 Daevanion Board system actually consists of five distinct boards that unlock sequentially as you reach specific levels. Each board focuses on different types of stat boosts and bonuses:

  • Nezekan – Level 12: Combat Speed Increase, Cooldown Reduction
  • Zikel – Level 20: Damage Boost / Tolerance
  • Vaizel – Level 30: Critical Damage Boost / Tolerance
  • Triniel – Level 40: Multi-Hit Chance / Resist
  • Azphel – Level 45: PvP Damage Boost / Tolerance

Each Daevanion Board features four types of nodes, categorized by rarity from lowest to highest: stat (gray), passive skill (green), active skill (blue), and unique skill (orange). Higher-rarity nodes require more points to unlock.

Points are obtained by exchanging Daevanion Crystals, with each crystal providing one point. Crystals themselves can be earned by completing specific Aion 2 quests or exchanged for in Festival Shop.

If you encounter difficulties with high-level quests, you can buy Aion 2 kinah, and then immediately redeem and equip superior gear via in-game trade, providing an instant boost to your combat power, and then use the crystals you obtain to further progress your Daevanion Board.

Board development priority

Generally, you should develop Daevanion Boards one by one in the order they unlock. Once you reach Level 45 and have unlocked them all, you can then formulate a more comprehensive strategy.

However, it is worth noting that if you focus primarily on PvE content in Aion 2, the stat bonuses provided by Azphel Board offer very limited benefits in relevant combat scenarios.

In the early stages of the game, most playable PvE content relies heavily on your gear score. Therefore, during the initial progression phase, you should simply use Azphel Board to boost your gear score enough to unlock higher-tier content, without investing too heavily in it thereafter.

Node unlock priority

We have previously introduced the types of Daevanion nodes in Aion 2. On any given board, the starting point is the center, surrounded initially by the lowest-rarity (gray) nodes; the layout then extends outward in tiers, culminating in the outermost orange nodes.

If you are playing a DPS class, your priority when unlocking Daevanion nodes should be the gray nodes that provide Attack Power bonuses. This ensures you can quickly earn enough Aion 2 gold through combat, for yourself or your teammates, during the early game.

Of course, if you are playing a tank class and facing significant survivability challenges, prioritizing damage reduction stats is a perfectly valid strategy.

For PvE content, Multi-Hit Resist nodes on Triniel Board and Critical Damage Tolerance nodes on Vaizel Board are useless and can be completely ignored. This is because PvE bosses in Aion 2 do not deal critical hits or multi-hit attacks against players.

As for blue nodes, they are closely linked to your active skills. You will gradually unlock these bonus effects as your skill levels increase, with the final ones becoming available at Level 16.

Once a skill reaches Level 20, you unlock a third slot, allowing you to equip three Daevanion bonuses. The specific choices depend largely on the class you are playing.

If you intend to upgrade your skills, especially core skills, it is best to aim for levels 12, 16, or 20. Remaining skill points should be allocated to passive skills, particularly those key passives that boost damage output.

Regarding the green passive skill nodes: every Aion 2 class has a few high-priority offensive nodes worth pursuing first. Once you have unlocked these, you can then fill in other passive nodes along the path.

After completing the core Aion 2 Daevanion Board setup described above, if you have points left over, consider investing in utility or AoE skills to further improve your efficiency when farming mobs.

Additional tips for boosting skills

If the skill bonuses provided by Daevanion Boards aren’t enough for you, you can obtain further boosts through specific gear slots, such as rings, weapons, and shields.

If you have to choose, prioritize rings with skill-level bonus stats; this is because weapons and shields offer the potential to roll even better, more impactful stats.

Another excellent way to gain active skill level bonuses is through Arcana Cards. As a core character progression system for the endgame, Arcana Cards not only provide gear score bonuses but also directly increase the levels of specific class skills.

While these mechanics aren’t directly linked to Daevanion Boards, fully utilizing them alongside the boards is essential for comprehensively strengthening your Aion 2 character.

Summary

In short, when allocating nodes, invest just enough in active skills to meet your needs, then pour excess points into core passives and the primary stats required by your class. Approach the highest-tier orange nodes based on your available resources.

The ultimate key to configuring your Aion 2 Daevanion Boards lies in mastering these basic principles while remaining flexible enough to adapt to your specific situation.

Blindly copying a specific guide without considering your other gear or build choices could lead to suboptimal results.

We hope this Aion 2 Daevanion Board guide from IGGM provides the inspiration and assistance you need to create a board setup and build that is perfectly tailored to your playstyle!
